Lily gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Forensic Science, a university course which fuelled her curiosity for the scientific process and her fascination with human mind and behaviour, along with the physical environment. She subsequently gained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education, with a Physics specialism, and embarked on a career teaching Science, first working as a private tutor and then as a secondary school teacher. Alongside her role as an educator, Lily has continued her own self-development, selecting courses to serve her well both within the teaching environment and the wider world. Her interest in mental health has developed over the years, with her gaining certificates in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, and as a Fundamental Wellbeing First Aider. As a first-time parent, Lily recognised the added importance of feeling competent and confident to respond in a medical emergency and undertook a First Aid course, going on to qualify as a Physical First Aid Instructor and Assessor.
